Funny Bunny Basket

I wanted a basket for my table decoration. This is made with Echo Park paper ... having double-sided paper gives that wonderful stripe on the inside. This is an origami basket and there is no glue!

And filled with eggs :

Another Funny Bunny entry to CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

Funny Bunny

CAS-ual Fridays is having a Funny Bunny Challenge .... and it cannot be a card!

I only have one bunny stamp, so here it is on my Easter packets.

The group ... bright spring colours.

And a close-up :

Muse Challenge

Ardyth has come up with a wonderful inspiration for the Muse Challenge.
I loved the linked circles and remembered my embossing folder which I haven't used for months. Had to add a splash of colour so used these tiny stamps off the Hero Arts Birthday wishes clear set. They have come in handy so many times.
While working on the first one, I messed up the second .... and saved the day with some gems.

I'll also enter this into the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.

Washi Butterfly

For my March CCC card : I loved the sketch, so that was my starting point. Decided to use the colour combo too.
I decided to try some washi tape. I inked up a page from a book and added the pink washi tape, then punched out the butterfly.
I will also enter it in the Moxie Fab Washi Tape Challenge.

Packaging Inspiration

The OLW132 Challenge at Heather is to be inspired by packaging. So went on a stroll through the house and came across this ...

Chosen because it's my favourite colour! So some masking and sponging with distress inks, stamping and embossing in white and adding a sentiment gave me ...

Scrambling Again

It's card scramble time again with Hero Arts flickr group. Barb was hosting it, and her challenge was a Tic Tac Toe. Had to choose a row, column or diagonal.

For my first card, I chose the diagonal Pearls, Patterned Paper & Aqua & Lavender. I'll also enter this for the Pattern Play online course.

For my second, I chose the right hand column : Heat embossing, Washi tape & Aqua & Lavender. I'll enter this for the Moxie Fab Washi tape Challenge.

Butterfly kisses ...

Marion Vagg has a wonderful challenge at MUSE

Pulled out my paper scraps to make the stripes, and used diecut butterflies in my stash.

I will also submit this to the CASology song challenge .... my song is Butterfly Kisses.

Welcome Spring

Play Date Card Colour Challenge had such wonderful colours. I started by using alcohol inks on the background. When I had made up my card it was too dark to photograph, so I left it. Next day I decided it was way too heavy - very similar in layout to my Big Wish card. So pulled it apart and made two instead.

The panel is mounted on foam dots to give dimension.

The coloured strip is glued directly to the card, and the white panel is mounted on foam dots. This is my favourite.

A close up of the alcohol ink background.

Big Wish

More for the Pattern Play online course.

Stamping to change the pattern paper. I stamped the dots in the butterfly wings, and the words on the background paper.
 And a close-up.

Progession Learning

Following the formula from Kristina in the Online Pattern Play course, I made this card to welcome my friend's first little one.

When (and only when) I took the photo, I decided that the eye of the elephant looked a little small. So I scrapped off my liquid pearl dot and used a Hero Arts Pearl instead.

Took another photo. Thought I was happy, but after milling around a while, came back to it and decided that it needed corners rounded.
Love the rounded corners following the lines of the rounded elephant. Ok - enough now - just send it!

And I'll enter it in the Die Cut Diva's Anything Green Challenge.

More Patterned Paper

Lili of the Valley has the most delightful paper pads.  Petal Fresh is my favourite at the moment. Their stamps are so sweet too.

My last entry for the pre-class gallery at Pattern Play Online Class which starts tomorrow.

Another Remake

I really did not think I have the courage to give this card (although I would love to!). Ardyth also remade hers - see here.

so I added more dots and circles in Wet Cement and Charcoal. I think it's a great masculine card - might even give it to my son for his birthday this week.

Spring Flowers

This is the first stamp I ever used for paper piecing patterned paper. Crazy that it's so small ... only an inchie! So thought it would be a good one to use as my pre-class card for the Pattern Play online class.

Playing with the colours of Just us Girls
And having a frame for Less is More Frame It challenge.

One plain and one with shading. Which is better?

Dots and Stripes

Put your dark glasses on .... this is BRIGHT!

I was so taken with the Spots and stripes challenge at Less is More. And keeping with the colours of the Play Date colour challenge...

I used 3 stamps to make this (2 from CASual Fridays & one very old solid circle) ... and used a bit of masking too. Added some white gel pen to make circles shine.

Hello Spring

Love these spring colours (Hero Arts mid-tone inks), and I used the technique that Heather of Bits & Pieces blog demonstrated here to highlight the flowers. I stamped the image 4 times changing the colour each time, and then cut them up to remake the full image. Adding matching bakers twine to each.

Entered for the CAS-ual Fridays colour blocking challenge : CFC93. And the Hero Arts March Spring challenge.

Celebrate

For Moxie Fab & JUGS 179 negative die cuts challenges. This is a silhouette cut. Added Annabelle Stamps sprinkles.

Another Renovation

My other scramble card also needs a little renovation.
I was not totally happy with it. The paned a bit heavy with 2 solids. I was cleaning up a bit (long way to go still) and came across this punched out piece. You can see why it's such a mess if I can't even throw this away!

So it was a toss up whether to stamp turquoise on white, or white on the turquoise. Since the background was pink on white, decided to go for the latter.
So much lighter. I'm happy.
So I'll enter this on for the Play Date Cafe 172 colour challenge.

New & Improved

When I see my cards on screen it gives me a different perspective. I see things that I didn't when it was in front of me ... especially the balance and design. So here is one of the cards I made for the Hero Arts flickr group scramble - and always in a bit of a rush for those.
Looking at it on screen, I didn't like the space created by the smaller font of HAPPY. So I stamped another.
Better. But now I didn't like the 3 gems which cut the flow of the diagonal. So I moved them.
But now there is too much space on the right. So filled it up with more happiness!

The new and improved version!

Flowers

I've been colouring quite a few LOTV images (just the sweetest!) and I was rather taken with the colours of the challenge at Annabelle Stamps.
So here's is my entry ...
